#TECHOGNITION 2025 Last Thursday was national #TECHOGNITION day in celebration of technical support staff, recognising the essential roles they play. Technicians are highly skilled, very experienced and essential members of the school, whose value is often not fully appreciated. Together with #TECHOGNITION 2025 we are looking to raise the profile of this essential role. The Science Technicians have submitted entries for this and would love to share a snippet of what we get up to behind the scenes! Thank you to all our technicians for all their hard work, enthusiasm and support. #techognition #queensschoolbushey #daretobegreat #schooltechnician #secondaryschool #hertfordshire

Massive congratulations to Ruby, Amara, Isla, Jake and Elijah on their team "Jaires" being crowned "Queens' Den Champions". Their sweet cones were incredibly popular and there were huge queues of pupils lining up every time they held a sale. They will be spending the morning at Wickes Head Office where they will have breakfast with the Wickes team, present their Queens' Den pitches to the team and have a VIP tour of the offices. We are so excited to announce that in total the 6 teams made an incredible £2,000 for the school. Congratulations to our winners and all of our finalists who have all been invited to a special celebratory lunch. We are so proud of how incredibly hard they all worked and showed true Queens' School spirit. #queensschoolbushey #daretobegreat #dragonsden #entrepreneur #entrepreneurschool

Some statistics about our amazing Library! Thank you so much to Mrs Greatrex & Miss Goetsch who run a library that we are all very proud of and that serves both our staff and students extremely well. If you don't visit the library very often, please try to do so. It's a fabulous resource for teaching and learning. #queensschoolbushey #daretobegreat #lovetoread #lovebooks #schoollibrary #hertfordshireschools #secondaryschool

Mr Mistry took two of our students to a tree planting ceremony to commemorate the Holocaust and remember those victims that have suffered and died in subsequent mass genocides. Eight trees were planted at the Arsenal training ground to commemorate this as well as the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2. The students were excellent ambassadors, displaying values of respect and altruism and they planted a tree on behalf of the school in unison with the council and Arsenal Football club. @arsenal #queensschoolbushey #daretobegreat #daretobekind #neverforget #arsenal

Our year 10 Classics students took their second annual visit to the British Museum. This gave them an invaluable opportunity to learn about the Parthenon metopes and see some astounding artefacts up close that are a crucial part of their Classics course. It was a fantastic and incredibly educational day out led by Ms Kinshuck and Mr Hurst. @britishmuseum #queensschoolbushey #classicalcivilisation #britishmuseum #parthenon #daretobegreat #hertfordshire #secondaryschool

Another fantastic turnout for the second "Queens' Den Marketplace" event. The queues of pupils waiting to buy from the stalls were very long and it was so great to see how many of our students and staff came along to support the finalists. All teams must present their proceeds from the whole Queens' Den competition this Thursday with the winning team being announced at the start of next week. We are so proud of all the participants in the competition and can't wait to see who will be crowned Champions! #queensschoolbushey #daretobegreat #supporttheschool #supportyourschool #dragonsden #entrepreneur #hertfordshireschools

On Thursday, 4 air cadets from CCF completed their first AEF (Air Experience Flight) at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire. The cadets were put through initial flight training and procedures before getting in an RAF Grob Tutor acrobatic aircraft, where cadets were then put through the experience of arial manoeuvres such as barrel rolls and loop-de-loops. Air cadets are also given the chance to take the controls and fly the aircraft themselves! The weather was superb for flying - light winds, plenty of sunshine and amazing visibility! Cadets are given this opportunity once a term. Our next AEF is set for June. Thank you to Mr Nicholas for giving the cadets this wonderful experience! #queensschoolbushey #daretobegreat #ccf
