Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity was recognised in 2023 when we were awarded the Gold Equalities Mark. This award demonstrates how our school not only meets the important duties placed on us by the Equality Act 2010, but recognises us as a beacon of best practice, ensuring that our school provides a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
At our school we place great value on equality and diversity, and celebrate the differences within our school community. It is fantastic to have this work recognised with this prestigious Gold Award.
Having a Gold Award demonstrates that our commitment to equality is well embedded throughout our setting, and we know that maintaining a positive and inclusive school environment is not a tick-box exercise but requires ongoing thought and attention.
The process of working towards this has been an excellent reflective tool which has supported the growth and understanding of equity and inclusion throughout all aspects of the school’s work.
We are extremely proud of this achievement and going forward will seek to continually strive for excellence in this area.
