Each lesson is one hour long and there are 5 minutes between each lesson so that you can get to your next lesson on time.

You will get your timetable on your first day in September, but the structure of the day looks like this:

8.30 - Registration and Form Time / Assemblies

8.45 - Period 1

9.50 - Period 2

10.55 - Break

11.15 - Period 3

12.20 - Period 4

1.20 - Lunch

2.00 - Period 5

3.00 - End of school day / Enrichment time begins

There are lots of clubs and activities during lunchtime and after school, so if you get fully involved in school life you probably won’t leave school until 4 pm.

The proper place for you to be on a school day is at school. Having excellent attendance is really important, so don’t make medical appointments within the school day unless it is absolutely necessary. If you need to leave school during the day, you must have a letter from your parents/carers, and you must show it to your form tutor in the morning and then to the receptionist when you sign out at the school office.
